On a sunny restaurant terrasse in the Pfalz, this half bottle of von Buhl Spätburgunder was recommended by the staff. It was just perfect. After 4 years in the bottle, barrel wood -which isn’t that overwhelming at von Buhl anyway- has been perfectly incorporated. The wine is nicely perfumed of cherries and red berries and perfectly balanced on the palate. This is so nicely drinkable now in a nearly genuine Burgundian style, hard to imagine even it could get any better. A real pleasure. 92
