Die Heimat in Frankfurt gehört zweifellos zu meinen Lieblings-Weinbars. Allein schon die Location macht sie einmalig, denn untergebracht ist die Heimat in einem denkmalgeschützten ehemaligen Kiosk aus den Fünfzigern oder Sechzigern mit einer grosszügigen Fensterfassade.
In Frankfurt gibt es ja schon eine Vielzahl an Steakhäusern. Deswegen ist es auf den ersten Blick wenig einleuchtend, warum man als Fleischliebhaber die Fahrt ins rheingauer Weinland antreten sollte, um ein Restaurant zu besuchen, dessen Spezialitäten ausgerechnet wieder vom Rindvieh stammen! Es ist auch immer mal wieder interessant über den Tellerrand hinaus zu schauen. In dem Fall heisst es: Auch mal einen elsässer Riesling probieren zwischen all den deutschen Exemplaren dieser Rebsorte.
Dieser 2009er Riesling der Domaine Gresser in Andlau ist mir in einem Weinladen in Frankfurt in die Einkaufstasche gerutscht. Ein Weingut, das mir bis dahin nicht bekannt war. Laut Etikett befindet es sich, oder befand sich zumindest im Jahrgang 2009 in “conversion vers l’agriculture biologique” also in der Umstellung zum biologischen Weinbau.

Here’s a quick update on Château Boyd-Cantenac from Margaux out of the blockbuster vintage 2005. It’s a 3rd Grand Cru Classé which I haven’t tasted for about 3 years. My last posts about it can be found here and here.

First of all I have no clue why this wine is named Rozeta and why it contains a Z. But somehow it made me think of the movie title V for Vendetta, and why not have a blogpost title completely without sense !?
Well but back to some facts. Rozeta is made by the young winemaker Maxime Magnon in the AOC Corbières which is the biggest AOC within the Languedoc. This wine is mostly composed of old vine Carignan (80 years) plus some drops of Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah. Continue reading
