Harbour House Restaurant in Kalk Bay, South Africa

On the road from Stellenbosch to the Cape of Good Hope, when driving along the coastline, one passes through the small town of Kalke Bay. When we stopped there to take a walk on the pier we were lucky to find an awesome place for lunch just next to it: The Harbour House Restaurant. Summer Food Cravings – the liquid Shrimp Sandwich

Wow, sun is starting to shine again in Germany! Pretty much continuously since Monday actually. And along with the sun, summer food cravings are also starting to come back. Yesterday we therefore ate a salad with diced tomatoes, juicy olives and diced strawberries: a delicious mix, especially when you add raspberry vinegar to the vinaigrette.

Sashimi Riddle – Update with Solution

Back in Germany now. Time now to unveil all my other experiences and impressions from my trip. I’ll start with a riddle since on my first day in Malaysia I already had some quite unusual things I never thought I’d eat there. it was in a Japanese restaurant though. But I’m not sure anyone could guess those meals. I’ll post the pics now and the solutions later in case anyone wants to play the game.

Restaurant Can Rafa, Rosas

If you ever go to Rosas, when you have a reservation at EL Bulli for instance, there is another restaurant which might interest you. I believe it is some kind of well-known secret tip (check out here) that Can Rafa propably offers the best seafood in town and represents the ideal contrast to El Bulli. Here everything is simple.
