Chenin Blanc from Switzerland, I kidd you not! This country is full of unexpected bottles.
The producer of this specimen, Louis Bovard, makes wines on the shores of Lake Geneva since 9 generations, yet it is the first time I hear about them. You learn everyday.
And it was a real winner! Exotic nose of passion fruit, not too overwhelming, just very elegant and seductive. A body that is structured by a nice acidity which seems a bit strong at first, but mellows after some time. The exotic fruit is less evident on the palate, but a mineral feel is undeniable. A nice monolithic appearance in the end. Beautiful presence. A wine I would love to drink again without a doubt!
