Superb color: purple nearly fading into a pink, with brilliance and insinuating purity; I would nearly say a typical Syrah color if I was a pro wine critic. Intense nose of raspberry and bay leaf. Appealing palate with a structure to bite into; mid-weight with intense raspberry notes with just enough fruit sweetness; but also a layer of freshness in it (menthol, eucalyptus). Ultrafine-grained tannin like quartz dust guide the way into a beautiful quite long lasting finish. A well made hedonistic wine, maybe just on the border to jam-like, but this can be a thin line and I’d say it’s still before that line; definitely a modern style though. Good now but will even get better over the next 2 years. Offers great value for money at 14€! 90+
