A quite appealing Chenin Blanc from the Loire by natural wine maker Eric Morgat. The nose is subtle with floral aromatics and a slight perfume of anise. On the palate the wine appears rich in volume and structure, but rather one-dimensional or shy in flavour. The anise and flowery notes come out along with slight minerality. The 14% alcohol doesn’t impair the wine (only the drinker) – no heat or burning throat – it actually appears rich, juicy and balanced. A perfect white with food, even some more intense dishes would go with it. Good Stuff.
