Touchdown in NY! Finally… after 2 years of abstention. You can’t imagine how many cravings have accumulated during that time… Well, maybe you can.

But this visit was ought to be slightly different than previous times since I actually didn’t stay in Manhattan but in Bushwick, the up and coming neighbourhood of Brooklyn. The Harwood Arms, London

The Harwood Arms is somewhat of a curiosity within the British restaurant scene since it’s the first Pub that has been awarded a Michelin Star. And when we got there I was even more surprised: it seems like a traditional neighbourhood pub in a really quiet residential area. I wouldn’t have expected fine dining there if I’d just walked by. The atmosphere inside is also very pub-like (in a good way): welcoming staff, lots of warm wood, a vibe of friends and family gathering. We were curious and ready for lunch. Ivan’s Oyster Bar & Grill, Howth, Ireland

If you’re a fish and seafood lover and happen to visit Dublin, than a quick ride to Howth is a must! It only takes a few minute by train to reach this small fishermen’s town and the harbour with its restaurant is just next to the station: thus, no real effort is needed to get there! ;)

Sip Wine Bar in Seminyak, Bali

Bali is an island with a gastronomic variety I wouldn’t have imagined beforehand. Not only can you get exotic Balinese specialties or excellent seafood, but you can also find a good amount of Western restaurants.

Khong Lock Yuen’s “Bak Kut Teh” in Kuala Lumpur

Bak Kut Teh, which literally means Meat Bone Tea (in “Hokkien” dialect) is a Chinese Soup but which is most common and popular at foodstalls in Malaysia and Singapore where it has found a honouring and hungry foodie crowd that allowed the settling and development of this specialty.
