Barolo: a wine like a red cloud – 2005 Cannubi, Burlotto

Most of the times I had Barolo, they were older bottles of average origin, thus dispersing all the generic perfume of leaves on a forest floor with mushrooms and some rather absent fruit. Label of the Day: 1990 Barolo E. Pira e Figli

The content of this old Barolo bottle wasn’t really worth a tasting note; or maybe just a quick one: typical Barolo underwoods scents mixed with a sour age note of cooked wine. Really too bad. So I thought I should at least honour the nice label design with a few pics.
